How we fund our work
Chibi's Friends is funded four ways — and every one of them ends in the same place: a paid vet bill for a family who couldn't cover it alone.
Donations
One-time gifts and monthly giving
The heart of the fund. Every dollar from an individual donor goes toward a real vet bill for a real family — often paid straight to the clinic within a day or two of approval.
Merchandise sales
Tees, totes, mugs and stickers
Our shop covers its own printing and shipping, and the profit on every item rolls into the emergency fund. Wearing Chibi around town starts conversations that bring in more help.
YouTube travel channel
Ad revenue, memberships and sponsorships
Chibi was a travel dog. The channel keeps traveling in her name, and the ad revenue, channel memberships and the occasional sponsored segment are donated into the fund.
Repaid emergency loans
Interest-free, no credit check
Some families don't need a gift — they need time. We advance the bill with no credit check and no interest, and as those loans are repaid the money immediately funds the next emergency.
The promises behind the money
- Grants and loans are paid directly to veterinary clinics, not to individuals.
- Loans are interest-free. We never make money on a family's emergency.
- We never sell, rent, or trade the information you share with us.
- Volunteers run the day-to-day, so overhead stays as small as we can keep it.
